This review is from: Stock Shock-The Short Selling of the American Dream (Amazon Instant Video)
If you were an investor of Sirius stock during the time frame in this doc (and even as of this review), then this documentary will hit especially close to home as you lived this story (and hopefully didn’t have to sell at $.05 per share).
For anyone else, if you are investing in stocks and are not afraid to see how the stock market can be manipulated, in theory (though not proven but seemingly probable), by short selling this will open your mind to how your stock’s share price can be effected to the point of disaster regardless of it’s fundamentals. The details are presented in a humorous, easy to follow way that entertains as well as educates the viewer on an otherwise “technical” subject.
This documentary is not just for investors either … it uses humor to tell the story of how real life Sirius Radio fans / subscribers / investors had to deal with the craziness that went on during mid 2008 merger period through through early/mid 2009 bankruptcy rumors.
I found this very much worth the rental price!!!!
